What does ‘Transfer’ mean on an order confirmation?
This guide outlines how your order moves from the EU to the US, and what to expect in terms of lead times and associated costs.
How it works
In some instances, part of your order may be transferred from our EU warehouse to our US warehouse by sea freight.

You may notice that some lines on your order confirmation show a “Transfer” note beneath the expected delivery date, often with a slightly longer lead time. This indicates that these items will first be moved from our EU warehouse to our US warehouse before final delivery.
Further questions? We have you covered
Q: When is a transfer required?
A: A transfer is used when a product is not available in our US warehouse and additional stock is being shipped by sea freight from our EU warehouse to the US.
Q: How long will it take?
A: The typical container lead time is 6–8 weeks. This includes unloading and customs clearance, so occasional delays may occur beyond our control. Our team works closely with our logistics partner to help ensure your order is delivered by the required date.
Q: What if I have a fixed deadline and cannot wait 6–8 weeks?
A: We can provide an air freight quotation for products that need to be shipped from the EU. Indicative lead times are approximately 8–10 working days for carton shipments and around 20 working days for palletised air freight.
Costs
-
We appreciate your patience while your products are in transit; sea container shipping is provided free of charge.
-
Air freight quotations are available on request, as costs are dependent on the volume of the order.
